A moderate to locally thick plume of Saharan dust is expected to drift over the Cayman area this weekend

WHEN:
Friday night through Monday evening

IMPACTS:

• Hazy conditions across all Islands.
• Reduced visibility
• Reduced air quality

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Take precautions to reduce the risk and impacts from dust
• Stay indoors as much as possible
• Wash hands regularly and avoid touching eyes
• Close door and windows to keep dust out
• Wear face masks, long sleeve clothing and protect eyes when outside
