Significant Storms

This list does not include all storms that impacted the Cayman Islands. The storms listed in the section are storms that significantly impacted the Cayman Islands.

Tropical cyclones can impact the Cayman Islands, even if center of the system is located hundreds of miles away. There are several factors that can influence the impact a system has on a specific location. These include, but are not limited to;

• Strength of the Tropical Cyclone
• Size of the winds fields
• Shape of the system
• Vulnerability of the location
• Exposure to certain weather elements, for example, coastal areas being exposed to storm surge.
