Product Overview
The products presented on this page are generated from locally operated weather forecasting models maintained by the Cayman Islands National Weather Service (CINWS). These model outputs are used as guidance tools to support the weather forecasting process and assist forecasters in assessing potential weather conditions.
The data are produced using the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model, which is currently operated at a spatial resolution of 1.67 km. Forecast information is available for up to 48 hours ahead, with updates provided at hourly intervals.
Please note that these model products are intended for guidance purposes only. While they provide valuable insight into potential weather conditions, they do not replace or supersede the official Daily and Weekly Forecasts issued by CINWS. Official forecasts and advisories should always be used as the primary source of weather information and for decision-making purposes.
